HR Steps on Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity and Inclusion
What is diversity?
Workplace
diversity refers to an environment in which employees possess a range of
distinctive attributes and qualities (Saqib and Khan, 2022). This
encompasses differences such as age, gender, ethnicity, background, abilities,
and perspectives. Embracing diversity fosters innovation, enhances
problem-solving, and promotes a rich exchange of ideas, ultimately contributing
to a more inclusive and dynamic workplace culture (Arsel,
Crockett and Scott, 2021).
What is inclusion?
Workplace inclusion denotes an environment where individuals with diverse attributes are seamlessly integrated into the company's cultural fabric. This extends beyond mere representation, fostering a sense of belonging, equitable opportunities, and mutual respect (Dewidar, Elmestekawy and Welch, 2022).Benefits
