Employee Resourcing

Introduction to Employee Resourcing

Employee resourcing is characterized by the task of securing and preserving the requisite human assets for an organization while harnessing their productivity. It encompasses aspects of onboarding and, when necessary, parting ways with individuals within the realm of employment practices (Phanwattana, 2017).

Employee Resourcing Strategies

Providing Employee Training

This entails offering tailored learning opportunities to equip employees with the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to excel in their roles and contribute positively to the organization's objectives. Employee training serves as a strategic investment in human capital, facilitating professional development and enhancing job performance.

Recruiting more staff

This strategy involves identifying talent gaps within the organization and proactively seeking to fill those gaps with qualified individuals who bring new skills, perspectives, and energy to the workforce.

This approach involves modifying traditional work schedules to align with changing business demands, employee preferences, and the need for flexible arrangements. By implementing adjusted work hours, organizations can respond to fluctuating workloads, seasonal demands, or time-sensitive projects. This strategy also accommodates the evolving work-life balance expectations of employees, enhancing their overall well-being and job engagement.

Reward management

Reward management is a strategic approach within employee resourcing that focuses on designing and implementing effective compensation and recognition systems to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This strategy encompasses a range of monetary and non-monetary rewards tailored to align with organizational goals and employee performance (Kemboi and Onyango, 2015).

Components of employee resourcing strategy

Human Resource Planning

Evaluating upcoming business requirements, determining the quantity and categories of personnel needed, and formulating strategies to acquire them either internally or externally

Flexibility

Strategizing to enhance versatility in human resource utilization, empowering the organization to optimize its workforce and promptly adjust to evolving situations

Retention

Formulating strategies to ensure the organization retains the necessary workforce.

Talent Management Strategy

Guaranteeing that the organization possesses the skilled individuals essential for effective management succession and to fulfil current and upcoming business demands

  1. Employee resourcing usually refers to recruitment and is a part of talent management strategy, so it is not very clear to me on whether you are trying to highlight that they are different strategies. If so, please clarify further for better understanding. Thanks.
